Lions Club International President Fabricio Olivera visits Gujarat

A historic event in the field of social service

Ahmedabad, The world’s largest service organization Lions Club International with over 1.4 million Leo and Lion members, its International President Fabricio Oliveira has arrived from Brazil to visit different parts of Gujarat from 19 to 23 July 2024. During this visit, the Lions Club International President -will visit Ahmedabad’s upcoming project Lions General Hospital and will establish 25 new clubs.

Lions Club International President Fabricio Oliveira today visited the Paediatric Cancer Department at the Civil Hospital in the city where he distributed useful kits to the children. He then visited Vishranti Gruh, a permanent project of the Lions Club Ahmedabad opposite the Civil Hospital. During this visit, they distributed sewing machines and wheelchairs to the needy. Then Lion’s Kitchen was inaugurated at Zoondal.

Lions Club International President Fabricio Oliveira will also visit some major projects of Lions Club Ahmedabad like Lions Eye Hospital, Lions Kidney Dialysis Center, Lions Blood Bank and LML School and share his international service experiences. He will oversee Lions Club Ahmedabad’s next project- Lions General Hospital, which will open in May 2025 with the assistance of over Rs 2.5 crore from the LCIF grant.

In an important development, we are proud to announce the establishment of 25 new clubs and the addition of over 1,500 new Lion members to the organization. This spectacular growth is a testament to the dedication and commitment of Lions members and a fitting welcome to President Olivera’s visit. Gujarat has always been a leader in social service and membership growth, reflecting our steadfast dedication and commitment to community service.
