JSW MG Motor presents MG Hector, ZS EV to Kaushalya Skill University

Ahmedabad, September 30, 2024: JSW MG Motor India has taken a significant step towards fostering collaboration between academia and industry by presenting MG Hector and ZS EV, to students at Kaushalya – The Skill University Labour, Skill Development and Employment Department, Government of Gujarat under the MG Nurture initiative.

The MG Nurture initiative is a comprehensive effort aimed at empowering students and bridging the industry-academia gap in India. By collaborating with over 40 colleges, the program seeks to equip students with essential technical skills to succeed in the rapidly changing automotive sector. Itโ€™s CAEV (Connected, Autonomous and Electric Vehicle) course improves students technical abilities and helps create a collaborative learning atmosphere that motivates them to reach their full potential.

Of Gujarat, Drย  Vinodย  Rao, IASย  –ย  Secretary, Labour, Skillย  Developmentย  andย  Employment, Msย  Gargiย  Jain, IASย  –ย  Missionย  Director, Gujarat Skill Development Mission, Prof. (Dr) S P Singh – Director General KSU, Mr V S Champavatย  –ย  I/Cย  Directorย  (Skills)ย  KSU,ย  Yeshwinderย  Patial,ย  Seniorย  Directorย  – Human Resources, Kiransinh Rathod, GM HR & Corporate Affairs and Saloni Mistry from JSW MG Motor India graced the event.

The Honโ€™ble Minister, Shri Balvantsinh Rajput said โ€œOur nation’s future hinges on the development of our youth. Yeshwinder Patial, Senior Director – Human Resources at JSW MG Motor India, remarked on the MG Nurture initiative, stating, โ€œThe MG Nurture program represents a pivotal effort to cultivate essential skills in the next generation, establishing a solid foundation of knowledge that prepares them for the future of the automotive sector. By collaborating with educational institutions across the country and offering specialized elective courses that provide immersive learning experiences, we are dedicated to fostering a future-ready ecosystem.โ€

On the occasion, Prof. (Dr) S P Singh – Director General, Kaushalya The Skill University, stated, โ€œOur partnership with JSW MG Motor India underscores our commitment to providing our students with practical and relevant education. The MG Hector and ZS EV will serve as invaluable tools for our students to explore and innovate in the automotive field. ย By gaining hands-on experience with these cutting-edge vehicles, our students will be upskill and equipped to excel in their future careers.โ€

This MoU with Kaushalya – The Skill University Labour,ย  Skillย  Developmentย  and Employmentย  providesย  students with anย  opportunityย  toย  delveย  intoย  theย  intricaciesย  of vehicleย  components. By studying the car’s architecture and systems, students will gain valuable practical knowledge, complementing their theoretical understanding.

JSW MG Motor India has expanded its commitment to skill development by launchingย ย  EVPEDIA,ย  aย ย  pioneeringย ย  onlineย ย  platformย ย  focusedย ย  onย ย  electricย ย  vehicle education.ย  Thisย ย  innovativeย ย  initiativeย ย  aimsย ย  toย ย  educateย ย  aย ย  broaderย ย  audienceย ย  and accelerate the adoption of EVs in India.
