ગાંધીનગર ખાતે નિવૃત ન્યાયમૂર્તિ રંજના દેસાઈના અધ્યક્ષ સ્થાને UCC સમિતિની બેઠક યોજાઈ

ગુજરાતના રહેવાસીઓને UCC અંગે સૂચનો મોકલી આપવા સમિતિના અઘ્યક્ષની અપીલ

આજે ગાંધીનગર ખાતે નિવૃત ન્યાયમૂર્તિ રંજના દેસાઈના અધ્યક્ષ સ્થાને UCC સમિતિની બેઠક યોજાઈ હતી.

આ બેઠકમાં UCC સમિતિના અઘ્યક્ષ ન્યાયમૂર્તિ રંજના દેસાઈએ ગુજરાતના રહેવાસીઓને UCC અંગે સૂચનો મોકલી આપવા અપીલ કરતાં જણાવ્યું હતું કે, રાજ્યમાં સમાન સિવિલ કોડના અમલીકરણ પૂર્વે ગુજરાતના રહેવાસીઓ, સરકારી એજન્સીઓ, બિન-સરકારી સંસ્થાઓ, સામાજિક જૂથો અને સમુદાયો, ધાર્મિક સંસ્થાઓ અને રાજકીય પક્ષો સહિત ગુજરાત સ્થિત સંસ્થાઓ સમાન સિવિલ કાયદા અંગે પોતાના સૂચનો

અને મંતવ્યો રજૂ કરી શકે તે માટે ઓનલાઇન પોર્ટલ http://uccgujarat.in લોન્ચ કરવામાં આવ્યું છે. સૂચનો અને મંતવ્યો તા.૨૪-૦૩-૨૦૨૫ સુધીમાં બ્લોક નં.૧, એ-વીંગ, છઠ્ઠો માળ, કર્મયોગી ભવન, સેકટર-૧૦-એ, ગાંધીનગર ખાતે ટપાલ મારફત પણ મોકલી શકાશે.

આ સમિતિએ આજે રાજ્ય સરકારના વિવિધ આયોગો, ધાર્મિક સંસ્થાઓના પ્રતિનિધિઓ તથા રાજકીય પક્ષો સાથે ચર્ચા-વિમર્શ કરી તેઓના સૂચનો અને મંતવ્યો મેળવ્યા હતાં.

અત્રે ઉલ્લેખનીય છે કે, રાજ્ય સરકાર દ્વારા રાજ્યમાં સમાન સિવિલ કાયદાની આવશ્યકતા ચકાસવા તથા કોડનો મુસદ્દો તૈયાર કરવા નિવૃત ન્યાયમૂર્તિ રંજના દેસાઈના અધ્યક્ષ સ્થાને ઉચ્ચ કક્ષાની સમિતિની રચના કરવામાં આવી છે. આ સમિતિમાં શ્રી સી.એલ. મીના, શ્રી આર.સી. કોડેકર, શ્રી દક્ષેશ ઠાકર તથા શ્રી ગીતાબેન શ્રોફનો સભ્ય તરીકે સમાવેશ કરવામાં આવ્યો છે.

A meeting of the UCC Committee was held in Gandhinagar under the chairmanship of retired Justice Ranjana Desai. In this meeting, the Chairperson of the UCC Committee, Justice Ranjana Desai, appealed to the residents of Gujarat to send suggestions on the UCC and said that before the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code in the state, an online portal http://uccgujarat.in has been launched to enable the residents of Gujarat, government agencies, non-governmental organizations, social groups and communities, religious organizations and political parties, including Gujarat-based organizations, to submit their suggestions and views on the Uniform Civil Code. The Gujarat government has constituted a high-level committee under the chairmanship of retired Justice Ranjana Desai to examine the need for a Uniform Civil Code in the state and to prepare a draft of the code. This committee includes Shri C.L. Meena, Shri R.C. Kodekar, Shri Dakshesh Thakar and Shri Gitaben Shroff as members.
