An Expert session on menstrual Health & Hygiene under CWDC by GLS-FOC.

Ahmedabad, On February 24, 2025, the Faculty of Commerce at GLS University, the Collegiate Women Development Committee, organized an engaging and educational session titled “FLOW WITH CONFIDENCE – MENSTRUAL HEALTH TALK” The session, tailored for female students,

was led by Dr. Prerana Shah (Senior consultant Gynecologist and obstetrician and infertility and IVF specialist) along with Dr. Twinkle Patel, Managing Director of Hotherhood Women’s and Child Care Hospital, who emphasis the session on menstrual hygiene and other essential health topics concerning women’s well-being. It aimed to provide accurate information, debunk common myths, and encourage healthy practices.

Participants were advised that individuals experiencing irregular periods, severe pain, or unusual discharge should consult a gynecologist or a women’s health specialist. For concerns related to cervical cancer, it was recommended to seek advice from a gynecologist or oncologist, including undergoing screenings like Pap smears and HPV vaccinations.
