AYUDH Organizes C20 Youth Conclave on Education for Life and Global Citizenship in Surat
Surat, C20 Working Group on Education and Digital Transformation along with AYUDH, the youth wing of Mata Amritanandanmayi Math, organized a thought-provoking C20 Youth Conclave on Education for Life and Global Citizenship in Surat. The event brought together 25 core members of AYUDH Gujarat with an aim to foster meaningful discussions on crucial topics related to education and digital transformation, in line with the objectives of the Civil 20 India.
The Youth Conclave provided a platform for AYUDH members to present their ideas and insights on four significant themes: ‘Global Citizenship through Service Learning,’ ‘Heritage and Ancient Cultures of India in Education System,’ ‘Mindfulness and Counseling in Education System,’ and ‘Indian Gurukula – an Inspiration for Self-Reliant Learning.’
Dr. Bhavna Kamlesh Joshipura, Senior Advocate of Gujarat Highcourt and Former First Woman Mayor of Rajkot, graced the conclave as the chief guest. The event was moderated by Brahmachari Ramanandamrita Chaitanya, Director of MA Centres and AYUDH Americas, who skillfully guided the brainstorming session. Brahmacharini Amritatmika Chaitanya and Brahmacharini Niseema, National Coordinators of AYUDH, shared their valuable insights on Amma’s vision for Education for Life and their personal experiences with Amma’s teachings, relating to the conclave topics.
Brahmacharini Amritatmika Chaitanya from AYUDH National coordination Team stated, “Youth is the best medium to deliver inputs on real Education for Life and the implementations to be adapted in the education system under the C20 working group. The youth conclave impacted the youth and was relevant in ensuring the presentation of best practices for integrating compassion in education for a better future, as envisioned by Amma.”
Ms. Anushree Pandya, AYUDH Ahmedabad Coordinator, said, “This was such a good opportunity for us. We were able to present our ideas for policy-making, suggesting necessary changes that can be adapted in the aspect of education and digital transformation. Every point we presented was inspired by the values and morals we have learned from Amma and being part of AYUDH. We thank the AYUDH coordinators from the National Coordination team and the C20 working group for making this possible for us.”
The Youth Conclave brought together passionate young minds determined to shape the future of education and policy in India. AYUDH, known for its dynamic approach towards youth development, carefully selected its core members to represent their respective ideas for policy-making under the C20 working group. The conclave proved to be an intellectually stimulating event that contributed valuable implementations to be incorporated into the policy-making process, including ways to integrate the culture and values that existed in ancient India into modern education offering valuable insights for policy-makers, educators, and stakeholders involved in shaping the future of education in India. By deliberating on these critical topics, the Youth Conclave aimed to ignite conversations that would contribute to the development of progressive policies addressing the evolving needs of the education system, encouraging them to become catalysts of change in India’s educational landscape.
