Mumbai, Get ready to unlearn everything you thought you knew about the baap of reality television as its most iconic phrase gets a makeover! The clock of entertainment is ticking louder than ever as COLORS offered the new season of its beloved cult reality show ‘Bigg Boss’. Joining this season as a contestant is Chahat Pandey, a popular Indian television actor known for her roles in television shows.
1. How excited are you about the unique theme, Time Ka Tandav?
A- I’m beyond excited! The promos of previous seasons have always been amazing, but this time, Bigg Boss 18 feels like it’s on another level. The promos are so intriguing—it’s clear that something new and thrilling is coming. Just the name Time Ka Tandav sounds powerful and makes me think, “Wow, something huge is about to happen!” I’m really happy to be part of it and I can’t wait to experience it firsthand.
2. What do you think is the USP of this season? What’s going to be different?
A. Every season brings its own uniqueness, but this time, it’s different. From what I’ve gathered from the promos, it seems like time will play a pivotal role, and it looks like we’ll be predicting the future inside the house, which is super exciting! I think Time Ka Tandav will bring a fresh twist to the format, and we’ll have to wait and see how it all unfolds.
3. What do you think will never change about the show?
A. The one thing that should never change is Salman sir. He is an integral part of Bigg Boss, and his presence brings a special kind of energy and excitement to the show. His connection with the audience, as well as the contestants, is unmatched. As long as Bigg Boss is around, I truly believe Salman sir should always be there to guide the contestants!
4. What is one thing you will miss the most when you’re inside the house?
A. Without a doubt, I’ll miss talking to my mom. I talk to her throughout the day, sharing everything about my day, what I’m doing, what I’ve eaten— basically everything! That’s going to be the hardest part for me, being away from her and not being able to pick up the phone whenever I want to talk to her. I’ll also miss hanging out with my friends.
5. What was the season of ‘Bigg Boss’ in which you wish you were there?
A. The season with Shilpa Ji! That season was absolutely iconic. The way she hosted, her personality, her journey—it had such an incredible energy. I wish I could have been part of that experience, witnessing all those unforgettable moments up close. It was one of the most memorable seasons ever, and being part of it would have been a dream come true!
6. What personality trait of yours do you think will stand out the most inside the house?
A- I think my positivity will stand out the most. It’s my biggest strength and something that keeps me going, no matter what. I always try to find the silver lining in every situation, and I believe that will be a key part of who I am inside the house. Positivity is something that can really help in the Bigg Boss house, especially when things get tough.
7. ‘Bigg Boss’ is a high-pressure show with plenty of conflict and drama. How will you handle those situations inside the house?
A. I’ll definitely try to handle things as calmly as possible, but honestly, Bigg Boss can bring out unexpected sides in everyone. I can say I’ll stay calm now, but it’s hard to predict how things will go once you’re in the middle of all the chaos. The true test will be once I’m in the house, dealing with everything. How I handle it, only time will tell!
8. Are there any must-haves you’re taking with you inside the Bigg Boss house?
A. Yes, there are a couple of special things that I’ll be taking with me—things my mom gave me. They stay with me wherever I go, so they’ll be with me in the house too.
9. Are you open to forming bonds or alliances with people inside the house to advance in the game?
A. I don’t believe in forcing equations. Relationships aren’t something you “make” intentionally—they just happen. When you try to create bonds, they often feel fake. True relationships form naturally, without trying. You don’t need to deliberately make someone your best friend; they become your best friend on their own. It’s all about who you genuinely connect with, and that happens organically.
10. Are you mentally prepared to live in front of a 24×7 camera and be different from the outside world?
A. Yes, I’m fully aware that the cameras are always on and that every move we make will be under constant watch. It’s definitely something that will take time to adjust to, but I believe that after a few days in the house, it becomes part of the routine. Eventually, the cameras fade into the background, and you just focus on living in the moment. It’s all about adapting to the environment, and I’m mentally prepared for that challenge. I’m ready to embrace it, stay true to myself, and let things flow naturally.
11. What message would you like to share with the viewers of this season?
A. I want to take a moment to thank all my viewers who have shown me so much love in my previous TV shows. I hope to receive that same love during my journey with Bigg Boss. Please support me, vote for me, and keep me in your prayers so I can win this season!
