Postmaster General Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav Awarded Winners of Competitions Held DuringHindi Pakhwada in Ahmedabad
Ahmedabad, Hindi is a language through which every segment of society can easily express their feelings and ideas. Department of Posts plays a vital role in the promoting Hindi, as letters have significantly contributed to its growth. As the Department of Posts works to connect people across the country, Hindi also works as a medium of communication to connect 140 crore people.
In its Amritkal as the official language, Hindi is creating new dimensions as the language of communication revolution, information technology and innovation. Postmaster General Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav expressed these views while presiding over the Hindi Pakhwada Award Ceremonyorganized by the Department of Posts at the Regional Office in Ahmedabad on September 27. On this occasion, Postmaster Generalawarded 32 winners of various competitions held during the Hindi Pakhwada.
Postmaster General Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav said that as a regional and national language, Hindi has represented a large segment of Indian society for thousands of years. Seventy-five years ago, the Indian Constituent Assembly recognized Hindi as the official language of the Union, reflecting tradition, culture, civilization, and the spirit of freedom. Today, Hindi is not only making its mark in India but also on the global stage, with 1.4 billion speakers worldwide. By this measure, it is projected that by 2030, one in five people in the world will speak Hindi. In this AmritKaal, it is essential to connect its promotion and development not only with governmental events but also with our daily routines and inspire the coming generations in this direction.
Director Postal Services, Ms. M K Shahsaid that during Hindi Pakhwada, Department of Posts organized various competitions in Hindi Essay writing, Hindi Poetry Reading, Hindi Grammar, Hindi Quiz, Hindi to English and English to Hindi translation, Hindi Antakshariin which all employees participated enthusiastically, contributing to the success of Hindi Pakhwada.
The winners of the competitions held during the Hindi Pakhwada were honored by Postmaster General Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav. In Hindi Essay writing competition, Hardik Kumar Salvi, SiddharthRawal, and Rakesh Kumar Jyotishi were awarded first, second, and third prizes respectively. In the Hindi poetry reading competition, SaurabhKumawat, Manisha Bagani, and Hardik Kumar Salvi received the top three prizes. In the Hindi grammar competition, Raghuveer Singh Rajpurohit secured the first prize, Yogesh Agarwal the second, and Sachin Patel, Nirmal Kumar, Maulik Dave, and Nehal Patel received the third prize.
In the Hindi to English and English to Hindi translation competition, Kanika Agarwal was awarded first, Maulik Desai second, and Yogesh Agarwal, Hardik Kumar Salvi, and Sachin Patel received the third prize. In the Hindi Antakshari competition, the first prize was awarded to Shreyas Patel, MaulikDabhi, Nisha Patel, and Manisha Bagani; the second prize to DarshanBharwad, YogeshPancholi, Chirayu Vyas, and Nirmal Kumar; and the third prize to Kanaiyalal Sharma, Rajesh Kumar, Dinesh Prajapati, and Kanika Agarwal.
The program was hosted by Shri SaurabhKumawat, with the welcome speech by Assistant Director Ms. M. A. Patel and the vote of thanks by Assistant Director (Official Language) Shri M. M. Shaikh.
