Ganesh Chaturthi: COLORS’ actors extend warm wishes and share their plans for celebrations
Shiv Thakare, a contestant on COLORS’ ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 13’ says, “Everyone knows the connection that I share with Bappa. I strongly believe in Bappa, and he is my source of my strength. I never start anything auspicious without seeking his blessings and even before I began my journey on Khatron Ke Khiladi 13, I visited the Siddhivinayak temple.
It is a delight to watch everyone celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi and dance on the streets. Every Ganesh Chaturthi, my ‘Aai’ makes typical Maharashtrian feast especially Varan Bhaat, Ukadiche Modak, etc. and all our family members join us to celebrate this grand festival. May Bappa’s blessings protect us and cast away all our obstacles. Ganapati Bappa Morya!”
Sakshi Sharma essaying the role of Payal in COLORS’ ‘Suhaagan’ says, “As someone from North India, I’m thrilled to be welcoming Ganpati on the sets of Suhaagan. This time, to ensure we follow eco-friendly practices, we have a special eco-friendly idol of Bappa on our set, and all the preparations are in full swing. I can’t wait to relish some of the delicious festive treats with my on-screen family. Here’s wishing everyone a very Happy Ganesh Chaturthi!”
Anchal Sahu essaying the role of Parineet in COLORS’ ‘Parineetii’ says, “Growing up in Mumbai, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing the unmatched enthusiasm and spirit with which Ganesh Utsav is celebrated. The eleven days dedicated to Lord Ganesha fill our city with positivity and cheer.
This year, the celebration holds special significance for me as we are welcoming Ganpati Bappa home after several years. Bappa has always been kind to me.” Further talking about show’s current track, Anchal says, “With Bappa’s grace and blessings, Pari has finally found the love and respect from Rajeev that she has been longing for in our show, Parineetii. I hope viewers will enjoy watching our on-screen chemistry and shower their love.”
Srikant Dwivedi essaying the role of Lord Vishnu in COLORS’ ‘Shiv Shakti – Tap Tyag Tandav says, “The excitement to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi begins way before the aagman. Since I was a child, I’ve witnessed my mother’s devotion as she welcomed Lord Ganesha home for two days. Those childhood memories of heartfelt prayers are still vivid in my mind.
The way we celebrate the festival might change but the faith in the endearing deity remains the same. This year, I’m looking forward to joining my friends for aarti and making different kinds of sweet dishes, especially ukadiche modaks.”
Sneha Wagh essaying the role of Protima in COLORS’ ‘Neerja…Ek Nayi Pehchaan’ says, “Chanting praises of Lord Ganesha gives me the kind of energy that’s out of this world. At this exciting time of the year, my family and I visit my uncle’s house to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi. According to our family tradition, the eldest son of the family is the only one who is allowed to bring Ganpati Bappa home.
We all wait for Bappa to be home and prepare for the pooja. The best part of this festival is the traditional Maharashtrian food that we cook at home, especially ukadiche modak.” Talking about the show’s current track, Sneha added, “Neerja has finally come to know that her mother Protima is a sex worker and audience is about to witness the complex dynamics between Protima and Neerja. I hope audience will enjoy watching this exciting twist in the show.”
