ACC’s newly launched Health Centre will benefit over 9,000 people in TN

ACC’s Health Centre aims to provide essential primary healthcare services to the local community and surrounding hamlets near its Madukkarai Plant in Tamil Nadu
Tamil Nadu, ACC, the cement and building material company of the diversified Adani Group, through the Adani Foundation, recently launched a Health Centre in Kurumbapalayam, Tamil Nadu. This Health Centre is aimed at providing essential primary healthcare services to a population of over 9,000 people from the local community and surrounding hamlets.
Understanding the need of the local community, the health centre was launched in consultation with the Block Medical Officer, Madukkarai. The Company demolished the old, non-functional building and constructed a new facility in the same area. This has resulted in overcoming significant challenges faced by the residents in accessing essential medical services. It has also led to the Village Health Nurse providing healthcare services in nearby schools and Anganwadi Centres.
The new health facility offers a comprehensive range of primary healthcare and family welfare services, ensuring the well-being of the local population. These services include physiotherapy, prenatal care, palliative care, antenatal care, management of diabetes mellitus and hypertension, outpatient services, immunisation, and support for non-communicable diseases.
The centre has served over 6,800 patients since the inauguration and has significantly improved access to essential healthcare services in Kurumbapalayam and neighbouring areas. Moreover, the government health department has appointed a dedicated village health nurse stationed 24×7 at the centre, ensuring continuous availability of primary healthcare services.
ACC remains committed to the health and well-being of the community and will continue to support initiatives that strengthen primary healthcare infrastructure and services.
