Zishta Presents ‘Sammelan’: An exhibition of Handcrafted Treasures by Over 650 Artisans from 15 States”

Ahmedabad, September 15, 2024 – Zishta, a leading handcrafted kitchenware and cookware brand  is excited to bring ‘Sammelan,’ a four-day exhibition celebrating the rich and diverse heritage of handcrafted treasures from 650 artisans across 15 states of India. The event will be held from September 19-22, 2024, at “That’s the Space” in Law Garden, Ahmedabad, from 10 AM to 8 PM.

For the first time, visitors can immerse themselves in India’s vibrant culinary and artistic traditions. They will also have the chance to explore a diverse array of traditional cookware crafted from materials such as Kansa, brass, cast iron, soapstone,Manipuri pottery and more.

These materials are ideal for preparing Gujarati delicacies like Undhiyu and Dhokla, as they enhance flavours and preserve nutrients. Soapstone and Manipuri pottery, in particular, are excellent for slow-cooking curries and dals, imparting a unique taste and enriching the overall culinary experience.

Zishta’s signature items, such as the Shakuntala Patra (exquisite brass cookware), Brass Rail Adukku (a set of 14 brass utensils used to cook food during long train journeys), and Cast Iron Dosa Tawa, will be featured among many others. Additionally, the exhibition will have a curated selection of Navratri gifts, artisanal lamps, and traditional toys from states such as Andhra Pradesh, Varanasi, and Karnataka, perfect for home decor and gifting.

The event will also offer a unique opportunity to engage directly with artisans, providing personalised interactions where visitors can enjoy live demonstrations and gain a deeper understanding of the craftsmanship behind each handcrafted piece.
