CM Bhupendra Patel Lauds Gujarat’s Visionaries at ABP Asmita Sanman Puraskar 2025

Ahmedabad, July 28, 2025: ABP Asmita, one of India’s leading Gujarati news channels, celebrated the spirit, dedication, and silent perseverance of the state’s unsung heroes at the prestigious Asmita Sanman Puraskar 2025. Held in Ahmedabad, the event brought to light inspiring stories of individuals who have selflessly shaped Gujarat’s progress through their remarkable work.
The Asmita Sanman Puraskar is a tribute to those who have made meaningful contributions across various domains, from education and culture to science, sports and social service. Gracing the event as Chief Guest, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Bhupendra Patel, highlighted that the state’s continued advancement is not only driven by policy or infrastructure but also by the values, commitment and service of such individuals. Joining him as Guest of Honour was Shri Shankar Chaudhary, Speaker of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly, who lauded the honourees for being true embodiments of Gujarat’s resilient and progressive spirit.
This year’s awardees represented a wide spectrum of fields that define Gujarat’s identity and social fabric. In the Education category, Shri Rakesh Patel was honoured for transforming a rural government school into a model institution through his dedication and innovation. The Culture award was presented to Shri Prashant Kedar Jadav for his significant contribution of over 500 songs to Gujarati music and cinema. In the Literature category, veteran poet Kavi Rajendra Shukla was recognised for his enduring influence on Gujarati literary traditions.
Shri Suresh Ahir received the award for Social Service for his unwavering commitment to uplifting the divyang community, despite facing physical challenges himself. The Sports award was conferred on Raskibhai and the villagers of Biliaamba for their collective efforts in promoting the traditional game of kho-kho at the grassroots level. Renowned playback singer Bhoomi Trivedi was recognised in the Music category for her unique voice and acclaimed body of work. The Entertainment award was presented to seasoned actor, Siddharth Randeria for his longstanding contributions to Gujarati theatre and cinema.
Shrimati Paru Jaykrishna, a trailblazer in industry and the first woman President of the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), was honoured for her pathbreaking leadership and contribution to Gujarat’s business ecosystem.
The prestigious Maha Sanman was awarded to Dr. J. M. Vyas for his transformative contributions to the field of forensic science and engineering in Gujarat.
