Installation Ceremony of GCCI Business Women Committee for the year 2025-26
Ahmedabad, The Installation Ceremony of GCCI Business Women Committee for the year 2025-26 was held at GCCI premises on Wednesday, 6th August, 2025. Ms. Meha Patel, Vice Chairperson, Zydus Foundation graced the event as the Chief Guest. The incoming BWC Chairperson Ashaben Vaghasia took over as the Chairperson from outgoing Chairperson Prachiben Patwari.
BWC Co-Chairperson Ms. Shalu Lekhadia extended warm welcome to the Chief Guest, the GCCI leadership and all the participants.
GCCI President Shri Sandeep Engineer congratulated outgoing BWC Chairperson Prachiben Patwari for the year-round activities carried out to empower women entrepreneurs. He also congratulated incoming Chairperson Ashaben and wished her all success. He extended warm welcome to the Chief Guest, Ms. Meha Patel and mentioned about the exemplary work being carried out by Zydus Foundation. He remarked about BWC’s projects aimed to inspire women entrepreneurs, to keep them abreast about latest Trade & Industry related development and to equip and empower them towards their role as entrepreneurs.
Outgoing Chairperson Prachi Patwari mentioned about the series of events carried out throughout the year 2024-25 and expressed gratitude to GCCI President Shri Sandeep Engineer and office bearers for their year-round support. She assured incoming Chairperson Ashaben Vaghasia of all her support to ensure an eventful year for GCCI Business Women Committee.
The newly installed BWC Chairperson Ashaben Vaghasia thanked GCCI leadership for the opportunity given to her and remarked about her commitment to carry out activities to empower and facilitate women entrepreneurs. She congratulated outgoing chairperson Prachiben Patwari for the leadership provided by her. She requested members to involve themselves in all BWC activities.
Ms. Sejal Kusumgar, BWC Knowledge Series Head gave the formal introduction of the Chief Guest Ms. Neha Patel. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Ms. Meha Patel congratulated BWC for their work for women entrepreneurs and extended compliments and best wishes to new BWC Chairperson Ashaben Vaghasia. She mentioned about Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047” and remarked that women entrepreneurs can contribute substantially towards the fulfillment of this vision. She mentioned about women empowerment work being carried out by Zydus foundation. She emphasized the need for skill development for women that can help earn livelihood and employment.
