Arthashastra – Economics Club presents: Ecofreako – 2025 at GLS-Faculty of Commerce

Ahmedabad, The Faculty of Commerce at GLS University proudly hosts the Arthashastra-Economics Club, a vibrant platform that enriches our academic environment with dynamic activities and games centered on economics and current affairs. As part of our annual initiatives, we are excited to present “Ecofreako-2025”. Over 150 students took part in the event.
This flagship event brings together a series of innovative and educational competitions designed to deepen students’ understanding of economic principles through fun, experiential learning. Ecofreako-2025, through thought-provoking activities like EcoRelay and EcoSudoku, reflects the Arthashastra-Economics Club’s mission of bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world application.
One of the main highlights of Ecofreko-2025 is the “EcoRelay”—a high-energy, knowledge-based competition that tests participants’ grasp of fundamental economic concepts through real-world problem-solving. Teams compete in tasks that demand both physical stamina and mental agility, promoting not only academic excellence but also teamwork and strategic thinking. This game truly exemplifies how economic theory can be applied in a stimulating and interactive format.
Another key attraction of Ecofreko-2025 is “EcoSudoku”, a unique twist on the traditional Sudoku puzzle. Organized under the guidance of the Arthashastra-Economics Club, this game incorporates economic principles into its format. Conducted in two challenging levels, the first includes a rapid-fire quiz round, testing participants’ speed and conceptual clarity. The second level features a custom-designed Economic Sudoku puzzle, requiring teams to apply core economic knowledge to complete the grid. Winners were determined through a points system based on both accuracy and completion time, ensuring a fair and competitive spirit. This event not only made economics more approachable and engaging but also fostered critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving among participants.
Both events were successfully coordinated by Dr. Anjali Trivedi and Dr. Hard Patel of the Faculty of Commerce, who brought their academic expertise and organizational skill to ensure a seamless experience.
