“Readathon 2025: Celebrating the Joy of Reading at GLS-FOC”

Ahmedabad, The Faculty of Commerce, GLS University, organized Readathon Competition 2025 – Best Reader of the Month (August), an event filled with enthusiasm, learning, and the joy of reading.
Many students enthusiastically participated in the event, showcasing their passion for reading and learning. They presented a wide variety of books ranging from engaging works of fiction that sparked imagination, to insightful self-help titles that offered practical life lessons, to inspiring stories that highlighted perseverance, resilience, and success. Each presentation was unique, as students added their own perspectives, interpretations, and creative touches, making the sessions not only informative but also deeply engaging and thought-provoking for the audience.
The event was judged by Mr. Heet Doshi, alumnus of GLS-FOC, founder of Your Reading Circle and the Free Library Project, and co-founder of The Listening Circle. In his feedback, he encouraged participants to present with confidence, make eye contact, and share their own perspective rather than relying too much on AI. He also reminded students to respect time limits and, most importantly, to remember that reading should be a lifelong habit — not just for a competition, but for themselves.
The Best Readers of the Month – August are: Mishwa Barot, Dev Vyas, and Divya Shukla.
The Readathon Competition 2025 truly reflected the spirit of GLS- FOC— nurturing minds, encouraging creativity, and keeping alive the joy of books in today’s fast-paced world. The event was coordinated by Dr. Gitanjali Rampal & Mr. Akhilesh Chauhan.
