ગુજરાતના રાજ્યપાલે દિલ્હીના રાષ્ટ્રીય પોલીસ સ્મારકની મુલાકાત લીધી, શ્રદ્ધાંજલિ આપી

ગુજરાતના રાજ્યપાલ આચાર્ય દેવવ્રતે રવિવારે ફરજ લાઇનમાં પોતાનો જીવ બલિદાન આપનારા પોલીસ જવાનોને શ્રદ્ધાંજલિ આપવા રાષ્ટ્રીય પોલીસ સ્મારકની મુલાકાત લીધી હતી. તેમણે નવી દિલ્હીના ચાણક્યપુરી વિસ્તારમાં સ્થિત સ્મારક પર પુષ્પાંજલી અર્પણ કરી. 

Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat on Sunday visited the National Police Memorial to pay tribute to the policemen who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. He laid wreath at the memorial which is located in New Delhi’s Chanakyapuri area.

આ સ્મારક 6.12 એકરમાં ફેલાયેલો છે અને તેમાં 30 ફૂટની  બ્લેક ગ્રેનાઇટ કેન્દ્રીય શિલ્પ છે, એક સંગ્રહાલય છે અને ‘વોલ ઓફ વેલાેર (શૌર્ય) ‘  છે જે સ્વતંત્રતા પછીથી દેશની સેવા કરતી વખતે મૃત્યુ પામ્યા છે.

The memorial is spread over 6.12 acres and has a 30-foot tall heavy black granite central sculpture, a museum and a ‘Wall of Valour’ bearing the names of policemen who have died while serving the nation since Independence.
