FPSB India to launch the ‘Psychology of Practice’ course for financial sector practitioners
FPSB India in association with the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) hosts ‘India Financial Planning Conclave 2024’

Gandhinagar, October 4, 2024: The India Financial Planning Conclave 2024, hosted by FPSB India in association with the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) at GIFT City, successfully concluded today, marking a significant milestone in developing a world-class financial services workforce from India. The event was held to celebrate the World Financial Planning Day and brought together industry experts and policymakers to discuss the evolving financial landscape and the need for skilled professionals to drive growth and innovation.
The conclave featured insightful panels with industry leaders, including Dr. Dipesh Shah, Executive Director of IFSCA and Sh. Pradeep Ramakrishnan, Executive Director, IFSCA who shared their insights on fostering financial literacy and professional excellence in India’s financial planning sector.
During the event, FPSB India announced the launch of the ‘Psychology of Practice’ course, designed specifically for financial sector practitioners. This course, set to launch in December 2024, will become a part of the CFP certification curriculum from April 2025 onwards. The course will equip professionals with essential skills to better understand client behaviour, enhance advisory practices, and build lasting client relationships.
Speaking on the importance of building a robust financial services ecosystem in India, Dr. Dipesh Shah, Executive Director, IFSCA, stated that, “With over 700 registered financial institutions, GIFT IFSC is rapidly emerging as a preferred ‘new age global financial centre’, which is serving as a gateway for global capital flows into India. He applauded the efforts of FPSB India in successfully organizing the Financial Planning Conclave and highlighted the growing opportunities for CFP professionals in the financial services ecosystem in GIFT IFSC. He emphasised that one of the key objectives for setting up the IFSC is to enable the bright young Indian talent to fully exhibit their talent and competencies in the field of finance and technology.”
