Mumbai, After the raging success of its previous season, Zee TV’s iconic singing reality show, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa has returned with a bang, featuring Himesh Reshammiya, Neeti Mohan, and Anu Malik as judges, and Aditya Narayan as the host.
The new season is poised to change the game with a new format that includes spontaneous challenges thrown at contestants by the judges … This challenging environment is bound to shake up the room a bit, stimulate a competitive edge amongst the contestants and pack in a new surprise for its viewers in every single episode!
The show kicked off on a melodious note with talented singers auditioning from across the country. Now, with the top twelve “OG” voices of India in place, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa is all set to create history in the space of reality television, staying true to its promise of giving its talent a lifetime opportunity of recording original singles in the course of the season.
Within just two weeks on air, the show has already discovered its first singer who will record an original single with Zee Music Company – Having dazzled the judges with a rocking rendition of Apna Bana Le Piya in the show’s grand premiere episode , West Bengal’s Albert Kabo Lepcha is the first contestant to have bagged this incredible opportunity!
Contestant Albert Kabo Lepcha said, “It’s an amazing opportunity to record my first original song and I am very excited. I am deeply grateful to the judges of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Zee TV as well as Zee Music Company for recognizing my talent and giving me this opportunity.”
Judge Himesh Reshammiya said, “Although I have been a part of several seasons of this reality show, each season has left me surprised with the kind of talent that has performed on this stage. We are getting a chance to watch these raw gems perform, but this time, there is a brilliant opportunity for them, they are getting to sing a song that will be released by Zee Music company.
The idea is to specifically look for OG singers so that we can give fresh and new voices to our Indian music industry. In the upcoming episodes this weekend, Bollywood icon Madhuri Dixit will grace the stage, and there will be a special ‘Ganesh Chaturthi’ celebration with veteran singer Suresh Wadkar and his wife Padma Wadkar.
