SBI Ahmedabad Circle signed an MoU of a Police Salary Package

State Bank of India, Ahmedabad Circle signed an MoU of a Police Salary Package (PSP) with Gujarat Police on 04.09.2023, under which Gujarat Police Personnel have been given several benefits under the Salary Package.

One Key benefit is an insurance cover of Rs.1.00 Crore (Rupees One Crore) in the case the Police Personal has an accidental death on duty, irrespective of their cadre in the Police department. In addition to the accidental death coverage of Rs.1.00 Crores, the Police Salary Package also covers Permanent Total Disability (PTD) Cover amounting to Rs.1.00 Crores and Permanent Partial Disability (PPD) Coverage of Rs.80.00 Lacs.

Shri Baldevbhai M. Ninama, who was serving as an ASI at Kanbha Police Station in Ahmedabad Rural, tragically lost his life in a road accident on January 24, 2024. The incident occurred when miscreants hit him with a vehicle while he was on duty. Shri Baldevbhai had a Savings Bank Account under Police Salary Package with our Sahijpur Bogha Branch in Ahmedabad.

Following his untimely demise, the claim process was initiated with the insurance company on February 22, 2024. After provision of all the necessary documentation, the claim settlement was successfully concluded on May 22, 2024.A cheque amounting to Rs. One Crore was handed over to nominee

Smt. Nempalben. B Ninama wife of Late Shri Baldevbhai Ninama as per the terms of the insurance policy by DGP (Gujarat) Shri Vikas Sahay in the presence of Superintendent of Police, Ahmedabad Rural Shri Prakash Jat , Shri Kshitij Mohan, Chief  General Manager, State Bank of India, Shri Mithilesh Kumar, DGM, State Bank of India, Ahmedabad Administrative Office, Shri Pankaj Kumar, Regional Manager, RBO-1 Ahmedabad and Branch Manager of SBI Sahijpur Bogha Branch Shri Mahesh Kumar Meena.

This settlement stands as a testament to SBI’s commitment to support the families of our brave Police Personnel who dedicate their lives serving and protecting the citizens of Gujarat. DGP (Gujarat) Shri Vikas Sahay appreciated the professionalism, commitment and excellent services of SBI.

Chief General Manager, Shri Kshitij Mohan called upon more Police Personnel of Gujarat to join SBI’s Police Salary Package, specially made keeping their requirements in mind.
