SOCLEEN seminar on Sustainable Water Solutions for Vadodara’s urban area,
focusing on sustainable water supply and wastewater disposal
( Vadodara Dt.05 02 2025 ) SOCLEEN (Society for Clean Environment) is organizing a seminar on sustainable water solutions for the Vadodara urban area, focusing on sustainable water supply and wastewater disposal. The recent floods in the city caused significant destruction and prompted reflection on remedial methods. This seminar will focus on this topic by inviting experts from different fields to develop an action plan for the future.
The seminar is scheduled for February 8, with an inaugural session followed by two technical sessions. The first technical session will be on scarcity of water and excess runoff management, followed by a second session on water conservation and financial innovations. After the technical sessions, a panel discussion will be held, and a plan of action will be decided for further execution.
The seminar’s e seminar are to raise awareness and enable public participation; review the existing situation and identify issues; discuss needed improvements, changes, and innovations; and provide an action plan with innovative, sustainable solutions.
“In view of last year’s monsoon, a need for water management in urban areas is evident, and this seminar will focus on this. The objectives are public awareness and finding result-oriented, innovative solutions. We are expecting to identify positive solutions and implement them effectively, said Rajmata Shubhanginiraje Gaekwad, President of SOCLEEN.
