Amazon Business – 98% increase in the revenue from Ahmedabad

Amazon India also announces the dates for the much-awaited ‘Amazon Great Indian Festival’, starting 8th October 2023, with 24 hours Prime early access for Prime members.

Ahmedabad, Launched in September 2017, Amazon Business completes six years of empowering business customers in India this year, helping them with seamless and efficient e-procurement. Since its inception, Amazon Business has aimed to transform the way businesses buy and sell online.

With more than 19cr GST products across 10 lakhs+ sellers, Amazon Business, today, caters to 99.5% pin codes across the country and has created a one-stop destination for all business buying needs with features to support request for quote on bulk orders, shipping across multiple addresses, and more. All of this can be done on the go on Amazon Business’ iOS and Android optimized mobile app.

To commemorate six years of operations in India, Amazon Business announced its integration with Amazon Pay Later to provide virtual credit to eligible business customers. The Government of India’s aim to revamp the Credit Guarantee Scheme for MSME sector during the Budget 2023-24 highlighted the need for credit availability for MSMEs to scale their operations. This integration with Amazon Pay Later to offer virtual credit to eligible customers will play a crucial role in scaling credit availability to MSMEs while ensuring a hassle-free payment experience.

With Amazon Pay Later, business customers will be able to digitally sign up and get access to instant credit, thereby making seamless purchases on products across categories. In addition to an uninterrupted payment experience, they will also be able to use this credit to make bill payments on Amazon.in, buy Amazon Pay corporate gift cards, travel, insurance and much more.

The initiative is aimed to help customers extend their monthly budgets for bulk purchases of products ranging from daily essentials, electronics, to corporate gifts for their businesses. The credit utilized can be repaid in the subsequent month at no additional fees, or through easy EMIs up to 12 months at nominal interest rates with no hidden charges involved.

Launch of virtual credit via Amazon Pay Later comes at an opportune time as Amazon will go live with the much-awaited ‘Amazon Great Indian Festival’, starting from 8th October 2023, with 24 hours Prime early access for Prime members. Customers can enjoy never-seen-before deals on the widest selection of products for customers, at great value and with the convenience of fast and reliable delivery. Business customers can also avail additional cashback up to INR 7500 on large orders.
