GCCI organized “Condolence Meeting” to pay homage to Late Shri Ratan Tata

Ahmedabad, GCCI, on 16th October, 2024 organized a “Condolence Meeting” to pay homage to Padma Vibhushan Late Shri Ratan Tata, Chairman Emeritus of Tata Group.

Speaking on the occasion GCCI President Shri Sandeep Engineer remarked that Shri Ratan Tata was a rare combination of a visionary leader as well as deeply humanitarian personality. He mentioned that Tata & Tata Family have become synonymous with India’s Industrial Growth & Development. He remarked that the legacy of JRD has been further enriched by Shri Ratan Tata.

His passing away has created the vacuum that can’t be filled up. The fact that at present every media speaks about Ratan Tata is the proof of the impact he created. He mentioned about exemplary philanthropy work of Tata Group under the leadership of Shri Ratan Tata. President expressed gratitude to the media for their presence in the condolence meeting.

Shri Ajay Umat, Group Editor, Ahmedabad Mirror & Navgujarat Samay, mentioned that Ratan Tata was the personality who was a unique presence on the time line of past, present & future. It was Ratan Tata who initiated globalization through Tata Group and through their more than 107 brands. He mentioned about Tata Group’s Nano journey from Singur to Sanand and how Shri Narendra Modi invited Ratan Tata and how Gujarat’s industrialists supported Tata’s entry. He mentioned about Ratan Tata’s remark, “You are stupid, if you don’t invest in Gujarat”.

Shri Pradip Jain, Chairman, GCCI Digital Marketing, Digital Media & Bulletin Committee mentioned that India has lost a precious son in the demise of Shri Ratan Tata. He remarked that the anecdotes from life of Ratan Tata are as effective as the stories from Panchtantra. He remarked about Shri Ratan Tata’s felicitation by many nations like France, Japan and Australia.

The event concluded after the Vote of Thanks proposed by Shri Jigish Shah, Chairman, GCCI Press & Media Taskforce.
