Bhailal Amin Hospital launches the First Liver Transplant program & Hepatology Center

Vadodara: In the latest development, Bhailal Amin General Hospital (BAGH), Vadodara, has started the First liver transplant & Hepatology Centre in the city. This centre will be supported by eminent clinical professionals from Vadodara and Mumbai. The launch was done by the esteemed hands and in august presence of Mr. Pranav Amin, Managing Director, Alembic Pharmaceuticals; Ms. Barkha Amin, Trustee, Bhailal Amin General Hospital; Clinical team and Management of BAGH along with other imminent dignitaries of the hospital. This achievement marks a significant clinical milestone for the hospital and for the region, thus establishing Vadodara as the third city in Gujarat, after Ahmedabad and Surat, to start a comprehensive liver transplant and hepatology center.

Welcoming the guests in the opening remark, Mr. Ravi Hirwani, Senior Vice President, Bhailal Amin General Hospital, stated the successful journey of Bhailal Amin General Hospital and its positioning as the pioneer in clinical excellence by starting the renal transplant program close to two decades ago and now starting the Live & Cadaveric Liver transplant programme.

The department will be facilitated by Senior Consultant Dr. Prashant Buch, Gastroenterologist, Bhailal Amin General Hospital; Dr. Jitendra Mistry, Consultant GI and Liver Transplant Surgeon, Bhailal Amin General Hospital; Dr. Bhavesh Patel, Consultant Gastroenterologist, Bhailal Amin General Hospital; in association with Dr. Ravi Mohanka, Director – Liver Transplant & HPB Surgeon; Dr. Prashantha Rao, Consultant, Liver Transplant & HPB Surgeon; Dr Mitul Shah, Consultant, Liver Transplant & HPB Surgeon; and Dr. Ameya Panchwagh, Consultant,  Liver Transplant Anaesthesia, and other clinical team members from Sir H.N. Reliance Hospital Mumbai. This association will ensure the access of highly skilled medical and surgical services to all the liver disease patients and enhancing the success of such advance critical surgeries and procedures.

Recognizing the critical need for this life-saving procedure, Bhailal Amin General Hospital has taken the initiative to establish a comprehensive liver transplant program and Hepatology Center.”
